i was actually locked up when i got to emergency room with some heart palpitations and started talking about suicide

after they got my heart palpitations under control they literally locked me up because they thought i was trying to kill myself

actually i just started talking about death because i thought i was about to die but i wasn't suicidal

but i was shocked that it's their actual procedure to lock people up if they talk about suicide in the emergency room

like what right do they have to lock me up when i haven't done anything ? let's say i WAS trying to kill myself ( i wasn't ) - what right do they have to try to stop me ?
