No I do not. I just read the requirements to open a bakery in Germany and they are fucking crazy, it's like 100 licenses (sorry for the long post):

1. Business Registration (Gewerbeanmeldung)

Register the Business: You must register your bakery as a business (Gewerbe) with the local trade office (Gewerbeamt).

Trade License (Gewerbeschein): Issued after registration.

Notify the Tax Office (Finanzamt): You'll receive a tax number and be required to submit regular tax returns.

2. Chamber of Crafts (Handwerkskammer) Registration

Bakeries are considered part of the regulated crafts in Germany.

You must register with the Chamber of Crafts (Handwerkskammer) in your region.

Master Craftsman Requirement (Meisterpflicht): Traditional bakeries require the owner or a manager to have a Meisterbrief (Master Craftsman Certificate) in the bakery trade (Bäckerhandwerk).

If you don’t have this qualification, you may hire a certified master baker as your technical manager.

In some cases (e.g., simplified baked goods, cafés with ready-made baked goods), the Meister requirement might not apply.

3. Health & Hygiene Regulations

Comply with the Infection Protection Act and the EU Food Hygiene Regulations.

Mandatory hygiene training for all food handlers through the health authority .

Adhere to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points.

Regular inspections by food safety authorities.

4. Facility Requirements - The bakery premises must meet local building codes, fire safety, and sanitation regulations.

5. Employment Law & Social Security - If you hire staff, comply with:

Labor laws (Arbeitsrecht)

Minimum wage regulations

Social security contributions (health, pension, unemployment, etc.)

6. Taxes and Accounting

Register for VAT (Umsatzsteuer) unless exempt (small businesses under certain thresholds).

Keep proper financial records (Buchhaltung).

Annual tax filings.

7. Environmental & Waste Disposal - Proper waste disposal, including food waste and packaging.

Depending on your operations, additional environmental regulations may apply (e.g., emissions from baking ovens).

8. Additional Permits Depending on your activities:

Outdoor seating: Special Use Permit (Sondernutzungserlaubnis)

Selling alcoholic beverages (e.g., liqueur-filled pastries): Alcohol License (Gaststättenerlaubnis)

Really incentivizing entrepreneurship 😂
