The same people that outlawed, then outsourced gain of function research should NOT be the ones to prosecute the culprits.
They are complicit.
It's so fucked up this is the scale of our risk profile. Used to be the biggest thing you had to worry about was the army secretly spraying your city with radioactive chemicals. Now it's an international hellworld of biological weapons experimentation.
