I was thinking about that last night. Reactions are super expensive for everyone, more so for relays. The bandwidth and storage needed is many times more than all other types of events combined.

Put that way, only zaps seems like a no-brainer, especially for mobile clients.

As long as a good number of users turn it on willingly itā€™s enough to improve Nostr for everyone
