I check Mastodon daily but only because it's where much of the infosec community migrated.

Why have they migrated to Mastodon instead of Nostr?
I can't wait to hear the answer to your question. But I suspect it has something to do with them being too stupid to handle basic private/public key identity. To stupid to understand the tech..... so they'll continue allowing the state to own them while they larp about sovereignty and state censorship. Amirite?
I took another look at Bluesky the other day. Quite a few people I follow made the jump. I'm still not impressed. My timeline was still pretty empty, and unlike nostr, I don't feel like I own anything. Its basically just an anti-Elon club and nothing else.
getting better.... gatekeepers are trying to gatekeep the riffraff but it seems like the riffraff are gaining critical mass
