Except of the moon ๐Ÿ˜…

I hear they're really good! Pixel phones aren't too bad either. I've been in the habit of the degoogling Google phones ๐Ÿ˜‚

I had a pixel back when I they first came out. So deep in the iOS ecosystem with family I canโ€™t escape ๐Ÿ˜…

All right that does it. I'm buying one tomorrow. Just to try it out. I know I won't be able to run any of the apps I normally run. My phone is an open source freak show ๐Ÿคฃ

Ugh. Iโ€™d rather have anything other than iPhone for the open source ability. Seriously. Only reason I have it is because my whole family does and we share photos and stuff. ๐Ÿ˜… android has way more flexibility

Worse comes to worse I'll have a fancy calculator. I just want to try one out. It's a badge of hipsterness ๐Ÿ˜‹

Glad you back around. Missed you there for a few days ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks ๐Ÿ’œ Come home and I'm half dead. Been working like crazy. Was in Atlanta yesterday. April 3-10 I'm going at down to the Yucatan. Gawwwwd I can wait. I'll be sure to shitpost plenty when I'm down there๐Ÿน๐Ÿง‰๐Ÿ–๏ธ

I can relate to that last statement LOL

FOSS

Freak and Open Source Show

Hahaha got to remember that one ๐Ÿ˜‚

Nextclud? Have you tried SyncThing?? And Briar (chat app without phone number, over Tor)

Nextcloud for the win

As long as your photo collection doesn't have ~100k photos, NextCloud is great. I broke it though.

A lot is how you set it up. It's not super fast but it's usable. It's set up with MPM event, php-fpm socket, Redis socket on both local and locking cache and some other stuff like fancy data eviction. It's on a beefy Xeon with a 128GB off RAM. I wouldn't put it on a RPi โ˜บ๏ธ

I've been running a Pixel 6 Pro, and my wife runs a Pixel 7 Pro, and honestly we love these phones. We both came from iPhone 12 Pros, and you couldn't pay us to go back.

I ended up converting our entire smarthome to the android ecosystem. Apple products are not what they used to be. With the exception of MacOS (which is still my favorite non-free OS) I've moved away from them.

I use Amethyst on my Pixel, and it's been epic.
