Why is NIP-05 verification needed for #Nostr? Is there no other solution?

it isnt required, and isnt verification.

nip05 offers an associative identity, and preferably from a domain you have control over

Ahh right. If i have my own domain this makes sense. Actual proof of verification. Cause right now anyone can make a fake account with my name and create a nip05 somewhere. It wouldnt be me though.

Think it will become required when Nostr gets mass adopted.
