Recently, I've decided to say daily Hindu prayers at various times of the day. So far I've just adopted one, to be said upon waking:
Karāgre vasate Lakshmih
Karamadhye Sarasvati |
Karamūle tu Govindah
Prabhāte kara darshanam ||
The next one is before placing feet on the ground, which I'll start doing now that Karadarshan is a habit.

what is its meaning
There are a lot of different translations. This one I found is good, I think.
"On the tip of the hand resides Lakshmi, at the middle of the palm resides Saraswati.
At the base of the hand lives Govinda, It is auspicious to look at the palm in the morning."
And the way you say it is while looking at the palms of your hand placed together 🤲

That's a great idea! Starting the day with prayers of any kinds help, I think. One ritual I like so much, although unable to follow is, waking up really early and going to the river to take a bath first thing in the morning. At this point the is also rising with you, and while standing in the river, facing the sun, you utter the prayer dedicated to the sun. Surya Pranam, as we say. I love this practice. 🙏🏽🤍
