Tell the people who do not vote to at least make their vote invalid. It gets counted and works as a protest vote against everything. Has the same effect as not voting but if there is a large amount of invalids it will receive attention at least.

Please elaborate. Casting an invalid vote only shows up in the participation rate of the election. Isn‘t it a better sign of protest if you don‘t vote at all and therefore voter participation goes down?

As far as i know, low participation is seen as sign for "i dont care about the result" and invalidation for "i dont like any option"
