Watching the public’s reaction to the latest updates as a result of the UK’s Online Safety Act and really wishing that more people knew about freedom tech tools.

Every few weeks something happens globally and I think, “Damn, it’s a shame that people don’t know about nostr.”

I don’t blame people for not knowing something that they have never heard about before. They were told that X was “freedom tech.” It is more free and that is nice but it isn’t truly free.

i think it’s more permissive than free.

which implies not free

X is less free than twitter was.

Muskrat only bought it to censor it

What’s depressing me is that so many people think age verification is a good idea and they are supporting it.

The creep of authoritarianism knows no bounds.

However it’s this kind of thing that drives reasonable people to discover FOSS, VPNs, nostr and other freedom tech.

Fortunately I live in North Korea and don't need to worry about this sort of thing.

Exactly! It’s wild how many are still unaware that there are alternatives—tools built with freedom and censorship-resistance at their core. Nostr isn’t just another social app, it’s a paradigm shift 🔥

I know right

They will know about nostr.

We have already won.

Does NOSTr get blocked by their internet service providers ? Why are these Brits so dumb ?

Hopefully in December nostr will get a huge influx of Australians because that's when the new laws are coming into effect.

To use any social media will require government issued ID for proof of age here.
