If you analyze a sentimental statement like “that was the BEST coffee I ever had!” literally and logically… it will almost certainly be easily proven false. And there’s something to say about the need for clear, literal, grounded communication, especially when discussing truth-essential topics and working out differing perspectives.

But if YOU choose to respond in such a way without some utility prompt, who’s really being more disingenuous? The speaker, or the out-of-context analyzer? You or them?
