I take my 2 year old son to free skate sessions several times a week at local arenas. We are often the only people on the ice. I love it, but where are the parents with their kids?

It’s free and we have a blast playing hockey. There are lots of things like this to do on a budget if you look for them and put the screens away and it makes priceless memories with the kids.

I take my kids to the trampoline park and I’m usually the only parent out there jumping with the kids. It’s sad. Everyone else is on their phone.

I don’t jump b/c I am afraid I am gonna tear my ACL at my age. I take a book, though

I’m a relatively young father so I feel ya. Not judging those who are physically unable.

I run a lot and lift weights 3x weekly, but all that jumping make me nervous 🀣

The kids want to be with you. Once you break the cycle of thinking they "need" screens, the world opens up.
