Honestly, this article was one of the main reasons I decided to abandon centralized social media in the first place.

It makes you understand that platforms are helpless to prevent offensive, disgusting, illegal, or absolutely evil content from being created and shared.

The problem isn’t that #nostr is somehow a “safe space for Nazis,” it’s that horrible people who think and do despicable things exist in the first place, and any attempt to gloss over that reality is just a pointless game of whack-a-mole that disproportionately shifts the human toll to a place we can choose to ignore.
