So far my little burr oak is looking well. I started it from a nut last year, and had it in a pot until a few days ago. I thought it might show signs of stress after transplanting, but it looks great. Burr oaks are slow growing, but live a very long time. Someday, when i am long gone, another generation will enjoy the shade and majesty of this tree, and hopefully they will know and feel that it was planted with loving hands. #trees #permies #gardening #homesteading #livinglegacy

I’ve tried several times this year to do just that but i haven’t looked into how to do it 😅

I’ll try again and next time I’ll follow some instructions. Hopefully i can plant many trees this way
