Salutations everyone

Sometimes I think about freedom of speech and expression on the internet. I see things that are distasteful and repulsive that I have no control to censor. But if we as a collective come together and block those things then those things are handled. But if over time we use that power we may fall victim to what other platforms and forms of media have done to censor those they do not agree with or find their actions distasteful. I am at the cross roads of letting true free speech occur at the cost of the depraved to express their vile thoughts or to become a collective and deal with those depraved individuals. Along with having the risk of repeating the past of other platforms. To keep order or to keep true liberty is what I am struggling to choose. That is what is wandering in my mind, I am open to disscusions about whether we should have full liberty or have sets of rules made as a collective. Both are two edges of a sword that we may not wield correctly.
