Thinkpads are a little overpriced and overhyped atm IMO.
Take a look at Thinkcentres and HP Elite Desks on ebay if you're comfortable working through a command line.
I'm using refinished Dell Optiplex for my node, 16GB ram, 1 TB hard drive.
