Good morning the #Nostr! Just read an interesting analysis om how El Niño and a wavy North Atlantic Oscillation this season will lead to a cold and dry winter in Northern Europe. Here in Norway it is already several degrees minus! How is the seasonal climate in your end?

I wonder too how all the geo and climate engineering chickens are coming home to roost. A lot is being blamed on “climate change” and the individuals are being blamed but media is deathly silent on all these government interventions in climate that have exacerbated things.

Sorry off on a tangent!

We have the tail end of El Nina here and it may mean a wet summer (although the alarmists are crying for another drought season).

I am quite ambivalent when it comes to the geo and climate crisis. Of course I am concerned about conserving our precious planet, but at least the El Niño / La Niña cycle as well as the NAO are well known and cyclical phenomenon that are much more tangible, although not always too predictable.

Here in the nordics we can always appreciate a bit of a drought, but I can assume you live in the southern hemisphere where precipitation is more critical?

Whoops I meant La Niña 😊

Yes I live in the Southern Hemisphere where rain is quite vital. It’s much more precarious than other rainy regions. We are enjoying all the rain while we get it knowing that next year it’s back to drought we are told. But yes not super predictable either.

To answer your initial question, we have had a wet start to spring (which is great) and although we’re told it will be a dry summer I highly doubt that, perhaps next year.
