Yeah, quantum is not an imminent risk yet. But there is a small chance that IBM's marketing team is not lying and that is why we should start thinking about what to do in 10 years when it does turn out to be possible to build a coherent 200000+ qbit quantum computer.

I talk with a high rank IBM guy like 2 years ago. I remember him like a complete fraud, he talked a lot but he said nothing, totally meaningless (this was at an AI conference)
I remember my conclusion being like: “wow if the quantum threat is in the hands of people like this we are TOTALY safe”
