How long do you grill it? Medium? Well done? I know some guys eat it frozen raw with honey.

It cooks pretty quick. That’s 20 ounces pre-cooked and I ate about 5 ounces. I will eat the bigger pieces that cook medium right away then save the smaller pieces that are well done. The raw liver gets really mushy after a a day in the refrigerator if it isn’t cooked well done and I don’t love it like that.

I feed my dogs calf liver every day, but haven't gotten up the nerve to eat it any other way than ground into burger meat and I really don't like the burger meat after adding the liver. I prefer beef heart but it's harder to get unless you're close to a ranch.

Grill a piece! It’s the power meat 😂💪

Something about it costing $1.59/lb makes me think it doesn't taste great lol

Hahah TIL beef is a Veblen good. The stuff I buy is $6.99/lb

You pay $6.99 per lb for liver?

You must be in California or NY. Lol. In Texas they basically give it away.

I’m in western wa lol which is like CA or NYs little cousin 😂

I have family there. Near Bremerton.

Nice, I’m on the other side. Too many people here and not enough sun but it’s a nice area overall.

I buy it from a specialty butcher shop that charges $10.99 for ground beef. I will say that the meat I get there is from legit ranches who free graze their cattle. All grass fed, well cared for animals. It’s the best beef I’ve ever had.

Grassfed is the way to go. Hard to get used to cooking it, I don't that I have to cook it way less to get my normal medium to medium rare.

Yeah definitely different. So good though.

Found* not don't. Lol fucking Nostr typos man

How does it taste on a scale of 1 to liver

Liver. I get this from a specialty butcher shop, I haven’t found any liver close its quality.
