The reason why I put a picture of just a coffee cup in my morning greetings is because I enjoy the comfort of consistency. Life gives us enough change without seeking it out. I love change but I also have a side that cherishes the small things we do every day. Those are the things we end up remembering when we look back on our lives.

One of my favorite stories is how I started enjoying coffee. I was given a two cup drip coffee maker by my brother when I left for college. I didn't think I would use it. But then my father who loved coffee gave me a sampler of flavored aromatic coffees. I tried it. Fell in love with the hazelnut flavor. And that was it. Whenever I visited I would sit with my father and chat about the news over several cups of coffee.

So, sometimes it is good to notice the small stuff and hold on to that. They're part of what makes memories. 💋☕
