In Amethyst for Android you can disable loading videos or images in the options.

I bet desktop clients like coracle or nostrudel offer similar preferences. I don't use them though...

are you using nostr on the phone only? #Amethyst is great but typing on the phone is annoying tough 🙄

I'm using primal on desktop but Amethyst on Android. Would be cool if Amethyst come to web though.

I've tried Amethyst. it only disables some images/videos. still get quite a few that render or you just get a big blurred preview which disrupts the feed just as much as an image does.
