now, there are medicine that were known to work in scientific studies, but fail to replicate the same result in real life. why? because these studies fail to consider external factors like the environment or emotion. thus, it is always good to observe community trials. there are studies done on real human in a real life settings. is it hard to do community trials? definitely. you have to make a whole community to agree to a community studies / trial

let us refresh some basic school science.

an independent variable is a thing that we think to cause something,

while a dependent variable is that something.

for example, if we worry that eating chicken can cause lung cancer:

independent variable : eating chicken

dependent variable : lung cancer.

if we are exploring multiple factors, we can simply replace independent with the word "risk factors" or "determinants".

if you click on the researches you will get more information such as the study design. this is where you can use your knowledge about hierarchy of study design evidence, especially if you find different studies with conflicting results.
