Wondered why #amethyst isn't rendering properly on my phone, since on my mates copy it works smoothly, he can see his profile pic, can see my bg image etc, the nip-05 shows as verified, but on mine, even after uninstalling and reinstalling still can't see his profile pic, my bg pic and nip-05 still shows as invalid.

This sounds like a cache issue. Clear the local cache for the app under app settings, storage. You can clear all data, but make sure you have a backup of your NSEC.
What Derek said mate. Your app should eventually snatch his profile correctly. You're both using the same relay(s).
Yeah, tried this, hasn't made a bit of difference. It's been this way for well over a week, more than enough time for stuff to catch up - I've deleted the app, all data and the cache, reinstalled, entered my nsec and go e back in to the app and there is no change, even after doing all that twice. I'm on a good internet connection as well.
The nip-05 is still showing as failed, the background image isn't loading and my mates profile picture isn't showing up.
The app's usable but it'd be nice if it was accurate...
