Lightning node? Or bitcoin node? Everyone should run a bitcoin node. Not everyone needs to run a lightning node, and most of those who do choose to should run a private node with private channels and not a routing node.

Running a routing node is a great way to learn. After that shut it down and run private channels for you own payments.

Anyone who insists only economic nodes matter. And who therefore discourages plebs from running their own nodes and broadcasting their own transaction. Have seen this time and time again.
Makes me want to run 2 nodes so I can be twice as insignificant.
