My question is why do this at all? Do people interact with this feature? What do they find useful about it?

It is I guess for more advanced users. Should we use Masked Complexity approach and only show after a preference setting (default off?) ? I tend towards nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 approach that we shouldn't hide too much from users.

I would minimize technical details personally and have it as an option for advanced users. Off by default, on in settings. Unless you want your client to be for advanced users - nothing wrong with that.

Quick idea here before I pass out (on hover)

Tap on mobile.

It’s a bit of an extra step than just showing them all but less crowded. I imagine the advanced user won’t want to click anything. They’d be ok with seeing everything shown probably. Really need some user testing and feedback on that one.

nostrudel.ninja also shows them, in another place tough:

Nostrudel seems to be targeted at experienced users.
