That’s what I think too. I’m sometimes surprised other kids already have phones.
The good thing, my daughter has never asked for one yet.
But I also notice that other kids are much better than her in navigating the internet, so I’m conflicted.

The best thing you can teach is how to use AI. She'll run circles around them. The best lesson my dad ever taught me was that technology is a tool, not a toy.

The big ones are all pretty well censored. But I'd still supervise the chats. The key is just to teach her to ask it questions to learn things. And when she doesn't know something, ask it for more info about that thing.
