Won’t make a difference if Bitcoin fails. It may look like that for a while, but the writing will be on the wall for Monero too.

Without Monero, Bitcoin would have been attacked much more fiercely.
Bitcoin is now a piece of their puzzle. Bitcoin will not disappear, but will change over time what it means.

Agree. Monero pulled some of the controllers attention away from Bitcoin due to its strong privacy properties. But so did Ethereum that pulled a lot of idiots towards their colourful fancy tech sandbox. Most crypto is useless, but some crypto is useful in that regard.
