Pretty crazy how Palestine is literally just down the road from Egypt, but the got lost for 40 years. But I guess they were cool with it, since they were getting free food from the sky.

I'm actually quite partial to the argument that its a big metaphor for their shift from polytheism to monotheism, that it was a decision to do so and not all of their society was on board. But... I don't really want to be the one making that assertion.
