Have you looked at KDE/plasma?
Otherwise "kitty" zooms with Ctrl +/- nicely, having a good terminal is like 80% of Linux.
Live as a blind person sometimes sucks. xD

I should, Plasma 6 is around the corner so this might be a great opportunity!
But, I really do mean desktop zoom, nut just text in a tty. Plus, spamming keyboard shortcuts is much much slower than turning the mousewheel. Believe me, I deal with this every day. x)
Oh well I have opposite issue, get pain when moving between mouse/keyboard, so now I live in the terminal ._.
