i dont like the word DAO because that's typically connected with a governance token and thats usually a shitcoin
this org would be token less, equity less
more like an non-profit or an association
i bought https://nostrlabs.org and i was thinking of making a nostr-focussed non-profit
i wonder if we wanna move nostrgit (and other projects under one umbrella)
i also run htts://no.str.bio which i could move in
- all projects open source
- all external funding gets distributed to contributors via LN (maybe lightning prisma)
- a council will be elected every 2 years that takes care of basic maintenance
- easier to get donations and bounties vs single projects
- build packages that can be shared across projects (i.e a nostr-first react package)
- no equity, no VC

we could run all comms on nostr and elections could potentially be signed with the nostr key of each member and broadcasted to relays
i dont think a blockchain is needed as the double spent problem is not that critical for an election of this little relevancy
a unified org could also have more leverage in discussing and then promoting NIPs
the list of members could be hosted on https://nostrgit.com too
members.json which includes all npub keys and their role
