Building nostr software to run on android's fdroid and apks in general is planting a tree in the enemy's garden, we need to build software for Linux phones, plant a tree in our garden.

I wish there was a decent functional distribution for Pinephone. Every one I’ve tried has been seriously lacking something.

Mobian Trixie and arch are good. Nostr ruined it all. I was daily driving my pinephone before nostr, it lacks an app like amethyst and Zeus for my use, then I'll throw my degoogled phone in the river.

Lol. Arch like Manjaro or ? I’ll give Mobian Trixie a go. Thank you.

Arch Linux is not manjaro. The bad thing about mobian is that I like gnome-podcasts and I need siglo for the pinewatch, both only available in flatpak, not in Debian repo yet. But in arch yes, plus arch is very battery lasting and stable, yes stable. Lol

The problem with arch is it does not support tow-boot yet, and you need some not working script to have FDE. It could be done manually I think, but not sure how.

We must find a way!

Indeed. I noticed you assist in node setup. I’d like to run a public relay for Nostr in an Ubuntu VM. Is Umbrel the way to go or?

Umbrel will only sync in LAN from what I tested if not using tailscale. Mynode gives you an onion address. But I would like to see some raspibolt like solution with onion.

An onion address might be fine, I don’t see Tailscale as being effective for public node access just private remote access, and proprietary requires trust. Onion it is! Thank you.

Onion is very healthful
