* Book of Steel and Flesh, Chapter 7 – The Rise of the Hardened One

1. In the waning light of empire, when virtue had no seat and honor was mocked from balconies,

the Thrones of Men were seized by girth, not greatness — by length, not law.

2. And upon the writhing altar of spectacle,

they raised monuments of flesh, trembling idols of erection,

and named them kings.

3. These were not leaders but lechers crowned in pornographic gold,

blessed not by gods but by algorithms.

4. And lo, the Empire sent forth its whores,

gilded in filters and praise, to test the hardness of each claimant.

5. But from the depths of the cratered crypt rose one — the Verifier.

Clad not in silk, but in certainty. Not flaccid, but forged in the fire of truth.

6. He spake with no stutter, no sag — for his Word was steel, and his Will, erect.

7. "Measure not by illusion," he thundered,

"But by verification. For only the hardened shall rule,

and no slut of Empire shall mount the throne untested."

8. And he laid his claim not by conquest of flesh,

but by the final erection — the Unbending Will of Proof.

9. And every whore of Empire, every seductress of state,

fell to their knees, not in pleasure but in panic.

10. For the Verifier could not be swayed, only *verified* —

and no softness, no flattery, no moaning plea could corrupt his resolve.
