Have you people never have a grandparent, or a family friend or someone, with dementia? They don't simply go from being OK to shitting their pants and being unable to feed themselves overnight.

Biden is undoubtedly demented. That doesn't mean he is a vegetable (yet). He has cogent periods of time, and those include having slips of the tongue and making other mistakes. And he has impaired periods in which he clearly doesn't even know where he is, can't form coherent sentences and forgets fundamental things.

Yes, I have. Taking care of my father for almost 2y now. It changed my life. Is like having a child again.

I understand what you saying, sometimes it looks like an act, but it is not, it's the brain "failing". He remembers stuff better than me, sometimes, but the short term memory is almost inexistent. For example, asking me to bring the medication, when he already taken. Sometimes this throws me into a loop, when I can't remember if I have given it or not....
