I just dont know what to do. I've been trying to get my #umbrel node to work consistently for a long time now it seems and I'm not really one to be a quitter. But I have tried litteraly everything. New SD cards, new ssd, new authentic power cords. The only thing I can think of is that that it's a defective pi. Memory sits at about 3.5gb. With nothing open. I think I might just nuke this node and buy a new pi. Frustrating to say the least.

Sorry to hear.

Hope you can get a new Pi. Supply situation is still difficult.

I moved to OrangePi5 running Ubuntu. Setup is easy to do as well.

Umbrel provides the install command line for linux on its website.

Oh dang I appreciate the info! Runs good on that?

Perfectly. Even faster given the better hardware.

The only think to keep in mind is that you need to maintain the ubuntu os (updates) in addition to updating umbrel and its apps only.

Check it out:

I got the same ssd!

I think I'm going to try it with that board. Specs look noice! Should I roll with the 8gb or 16gb ram?

8gb is enough unless you were using more on your Pi already. Using 2gb running btc node and lightning wallet. My Pi uses 4.5gb with much more Apps.

Ubuntu OS needs about 700mb-1gb of RAM.

You can run it either as the Pi on SD card with external drive or OrangePi provides a Pcie connector.

That's killer! Thanks for the link! I'm going to order one as soon as I can.

How long have you been running your node? Mine was running low CPU and ram for a long time... Until 4 weeks ago.

I suspect it has something to do with the busy Blockchain.

I had to shut down all non-core services to make it responsive again. Not ideal but hopefully it's just temporary.

Good luck!
