Finished the call with the FT journo. Good of him to chat to me.

we’re gonna have another call after the halving.

Despite reporting on Bitcoin and interviewing people who made bitcoin documentaries, he understand it about as much as the next mainstream journalist.

His main gripes were about the usability of bitcoin- which tbh I do agree with - and the fact that until it has mass adoption Bitcoin will continue to be a fringe tool. Weird paradox I know.

He’s really quite financially privileged but was generally open to discussing bitcoin in the global south

He had some weird takes about Saylor and the bear market, and he thought that a lot of the”maxi types” had disappeared during the bear market and are only coming back now. Wrong.

He is watching my documentary about Cuba and El Salvador for homework which is good of him.

He says the price will be $30k after the halving; I say $62k.

He could very well be right. nostr:note1ayjgs2lvxe3sgk4050a9j23rhum5u25tkwwjgpane6knduvtpkkq44a8h2

Hope he ia right. Need more cheap sats

Good on you for reaching out to him and for him to be willing to speak. Will you you be posting the full call/interview?

Nooo I didn’t ask for permission and his demeanour would be different. I do have it all though 😉

Anonymous source? 😉

Looool possibly. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt first!

The definition of 🟢🟢🟢🔴 in action. Good on ya Joe!

Would be great to see more developers interested in Bitcoin again. More Bitcoin whales funding the development of tools that make Bitcoin more friendly to average users. More open source development of Bitcoin hardware and software. Shift Bitcoin away from closed source and proprietary technology that it’s been leaning into for a decade.
