does formstr.app also create an nsec for each form response or does it just create an anonymous npub? #asknostr
Discussion
It's encrypted which needs an nsec for each anonymous response
thanks for the response! do we know if theres a way for people to recover that nsec? i am sending out an interest form and was wondering if it could serve as a way for people to get on nostr...
No it's kind of like a burner key, it is possible to know the public key, but the private key is lost the moment the response submits.
its an interest form for a group event and i want the people who participate to blog about their experience on nostr too so i was thinking hmmm what if after they submit the form a window pops up and says "here are your new nostr keys!"
It's a good idea, can be a decent onboarding tool let me ponder on it, and maybe I can find a way to include into https://beta.formstr.app
yeaaaa!! i tested a form out and saw the response itself had an npub attached to it so i thought hmmm so there has to an nsec associated with that...what if thats people's intro to the nostr ecosystem? it would be a cool way to onboard the people i am sending the form too.

Maybe I can make this a form setting.
i set it up so that i get notification when someone submits. it doesnt show up on nos social but on amethyst it does and the npub shows up right there.

if all the people that filled out my form also got an nsec with directions to copy and paste it into a key manager it would help me with onboarding folks to do the blogging exercise i wanna have them do
I know, I understand what you're getting at, let me see if I can think of good UIs for this, if you're a dev you can also try your hand at:
