Corny Chat Simplified Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

1. Account and Access

Anonymous Access: Users may access Corny Chat rooms anonymously. No login is required for basic use.

Enhanced Experience with Nostr Account: Utilizing a Nostr account integrated with the NIP07 extension is recommended for an enhanced user experience.

2. Data Privacy and Security

No Data Selling: User data will not be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Anonymous Payment Method: An anonymous payment option is available for transactions related to the service.

Local Account Identifiers: Each device or browser accessing Corny Chat generates a unique local account identifier via the client.

IP Address Policy: While IP addresses are not actively tracked by Corny Chat, they may become visible to other users under certain circumstances.

Cookie Usage: Cookies are employed to associate your locally generated account identifier with provided information (e.g., name, npub).

3. User Conduct

Prohibited Activities: Users are prohibited from engaging in unlawful or harmful activities while using the service.

4. Terms and Conditions

Changes to Terms: These terms may be amended at any time without prior notice.

Account Termination: Corny Chat reserves the right to terminate user accounts or rooms without prior notice and without providing a reason.

Room Customizations: Room moderators and owners are solely responsible for customizations, including images and links, within their respective rooms.

Beta Version: Corny Chat is currently in Beta phase and is under continuous development.

Service Interruptions: The service may experience downtime or interruptions.

6. Affiliations and Acknowledgments

Software Origin: Corny Chat is developed as a fork of JAM. Privacy considerations outlined for JAM are applicable to Corny Chat as well.
