It seems the homeowner didnt want a lawn so they put down mulch. Weeds will grow thru mulch. A lawn does a better job at stopping weeds.

Yeah that part wouldn't be cool with a lawn it has beautiful natural rock formation through the yard. There's lawn other places. This sucks.
