What's stopping you from switching to Linux?

You don't need to touch terminals. You don't have to be a geek to use Linux. Distros like Zorin OS mimic Windows appearance and user experience, making the transition almost seamless.

Most software you are currently using on a daily basis are also compatible with Linux, and there are FOSS (free and open-source software) alternatives for everything. You can also run Windows apps directly on Linux, using the Wine compatibility layer, that comes pre-installed on Zorin OS. If you are into gaming, most Steam games are also playable on Linux.

Linux offers greater privacy, security, performance and freedom than Windows or MacOS. What's your excuse for not exiting them?

I agree with everything you said except for gaming.

It is extremely difficult to make Windows games work in Linux, especially the more advanced ones.

At least it was the last time I checked.

Yes, I'm a huge Windows gamer although I do all my work on a separate Ubuntu machine.

Same for me.

I heard Steam is starting to make Windows games available to Linux now because of their Steamdeck.

https://www.protondb.com shows all the games working already.

Ever since I learned about the steamdeck on the Linux unplugged podcast, I wanted to get one. I keep finding other things to buy, like trees for my land, or stacking sats.
