you can run a laptop with it's battery removed and just with the power cable

I know.

I already removed the battery and the node is already back up and running.

Currently looking on eBay for a replacement battery.

Ordered! It just needs to last long enough to gracefully shutdown the system and not explode. The bar is low.

My 2018 MacBook is “nearing” end of life. Screen went black (prolly loose connection) a few weeks ago, battery is dead, and case is a “bit” swollen (prolly battery).

I’m shopping for a replacement … but to run Linux for the “first” time. I’m taking the plunge. Suggestions?

system76 lemur laptop has thermal management issues. Not sure the rest of their machines.
