To be fair, conbase lets you buy and withdraw 🌽.
MS made an offer to Chaum in the 90s to have e-cash included on every copy of windows. Imagine if every copy of MS came with something btc related.
That was dollar backed ecash. The world would look very different if it had happened but it would have been fundamentally a fiat technology.
