Is vaping the dumbest thing of all time?

If you love weed, I get it. It actually enhances your human experience, and can catalyze enjoyable memories with friends.

But vaping? You get a nicotine addiction, lose all your money, and become dependent on a plastic stick. (I've literally had friends STOP THE UBER on our way to an event, because they forgot their vape at home and needed to go back to get it)

This is not even to mention the awful health effects.

Crazy that some people need to be reminded this...wrapping your mouth around a piece of plastic that burns seed oils inside of it for you to inhale is HORRIBLE for your lungs and body. It's clear as day these things are horrific for health, especially for the adolescents and even CHILDREN they're marketed to.

If you're still addicted to these awful things, please take this post as your sign from the universe that it's time to kick the habit once and for all.

Trust me, your life will be better off when it no longer revolves around an adult binkie.

It was harder for me to quit vaping than ciggs

Quitting vape last year was the best decision i’ve ever made. Cold turkey, no urges, i feel a lot better everyday now

The point is for people to have an alternative to smoking. I understand you’re against it for non-smokers, but it’s a pretty good tech for people who’ve been breathing hot fire for years

Vaping is garbage, it did help me get off the cigs. But mafe me feel really ill too. Not touched either in about 10 years now.

I don’t vape or smoke, but I’ve read that aside from the pretty massive health effects that can come from nicotine addiction there are actually a ton of positive effects on the body and mind.

It reduces steess and anger, causing feelings of euphoria and pleasure by shifting how the limbic system works to release dopamine. It helps people concentrate and become more alert while also relaxing the consumer.

Honestly it’s hard to unwind the physical vs psychological ways in which it’s addictive because it’s effects are immediate and intense.

So knowing what it does I get that folks have a similar reaction to leaving their vape and their phone at home.

I get that it's hard for people...but human lungs are built to breathe air.

If you need to poison your airways as a way of "unwinding", you've got deeper demons that need solving first.

I'm an asthma guy.

Started to smoke cigs and weed in my teens.

Stopped weed 13 years later and did only cigs.

Then switched to vape (with nicotine)

Now I only vape without nicotine, doing this for about 2 years now.

My breathing is absolutely at its best now despite me being at my oldest.

I can tell you this much: vaping is way less worse for your lungs than tobacco.

If I wasn't vaping, I'd still be smoking, and that is probably way worse. I used to have a tone of studies that I'd site to support the argument that it's about as bad for you as drinking coffee, but those were all NIH FDA and OSHA. I don't trust anything from them since covid, so I have no idea what the long term health effects are. They are still almost certainly not as bad as smoking.

The best part about vaping is that you can smoke occasionally, without going back to smoking all the time. Tobacco is awesome, apart from the fact that it kills you.
