The disappointing part is that I'll never know I was right and you'll never know you were wrong.
I have to give the abrahamic religions a bit of credit though, it's a highly lucrative business model. Manufacture the disease and then sell people the cure, all the while collecting a tithe every week while at the same time hooking the next generation of victims.
I am not sure you CAN even believe unless God works in you. The only hope I see for you is if you humble yourself and search out God yourself Jeremiah 29:13 ESV
You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
But the thing a lot of people believe (and I struggle with this) is that we are so fallen we won't even search out God without him intervening. It is my hope you can prove them wrong.
