This is a corollary to the fact that the greatest sources of disinformation are the corporate media and the US government. People who still believe them in 2024 are credulous fools, whose laziness and willingness to be bought off by incentives is a form of dereliction.

I'm not even certain they need buying off to be fair..

Talking to a normie friend about Ukraine. He basically accepts US are after war with Russia, because the government is a war machine since ww2 which simply can't stop, and unlike Iraq etc this time we can't just win, and Ukraine is being ruthlessly used as a puppet etc, but he still supports UK missiles attacking targets in Russia.

I think he just wants to be told what to do.

True there is that aspect too. One is believe what helps you in social and professional circles, the other is outsource thinking and judgment altogether because it’s easier.
