It is only difficult if you want to run a profitable routing node now, while there are very few nodes, and because of that you need to research what nodes to open channels with to even be able to easily transact. In the future, when everybody has a node, it will be straight forward: you will only open channels with (add as contacts) your friends, most visited shops, and whoever you get your income from. It will be natural and it will be all that is needed.

When the first internet bank named Revolut appeared here, I thought parents (elderly), workers, and children will never understand it. Now they all use it with no questions asked.
