nostr:npub15qydau2hjma6ngxkl2cyar74wzyjshvl65za5k5rl69264ar2exs5cyejr is already doing this with his gitworkshop.dev client.

I'd welcome contributors or even other clients focusing on this.

I'd love to contribute, but web apps are no fun for me.

There is ngit. A rust CLI and git plugin that I'd welcome contribution to. Also there is a need for a git server / relay combo, like nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gprfmhxue69uhhq7tjv9kkjepwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxmhwden5te0wfjkccte9emk2um5v4exucn5vvhxxmmd9uq3xamnwvaz7tmhda6zuat50phjummwv5hsx7c9z9's song, but which accepts all event kinds related to code collaboration and accepts repositories fromthee public (or not just the author and a select few). This might fit with nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gprfmhxue69uhhq7tjv9kkjepwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxmhwden5te0wfjkccte9emk2um5v4exucn5vvhxxmmd9uq3xamnwvaz7tmhda6zuat50phjummwv5hsx7c9z9's vision for the project or it could be a fork or a separate project. I'd be interested in collaborating around that.

Indeed, a more open git-server/relay combo would be very good.
