London police capture escaped terror suspect after intense manhunt
Prosecutors charged Khalife with violations of the Official Secrets Act and the Terrorism Act, as well as with planting a fake explosive device. They accused him of working on behalf of a hostile foreign state while working at the British Ministry of Defense's station in Stafford, England.
He is accused of leaving fake bombs at a military base in January. He went missing for three weeks following the bomb hoax before his arrest on January 26.
Khalife, who is a British citizen, is also accused of stealing personal information about soldiers from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) Joint Personnel Administration System which was “likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism” in 2021.
