Totally, but it doesn't make it any less fiat. What is Fold's business model? Marketing or data collection? You're selling them your data and/or attention in exchange for cash back. That can be ok, I would just expect that for a group of people so interested in reclaiming those things there would be more pushback.
I would assume Folds business model is getting % of purchases.

No idea on the data collection but whether I use chase or anything else it’s pretty much the same to me. All fiat.

They also make % on gift card sales I’m sure.
They actually had the best in app Bitcoin purchase spread before they switched custodians. Time will tell if that’s the same.
Regardless, I get what you mean. I just accept the trade off for now.
