Like bringing a shotgun to a picnic,

the U.S Naval presence in the middle east

is an awkward and embarrassing display

of force.

The fleet only antagonizes, and does not intimidate. An elephant versus a nest of ants.

Suddenly breathless and clumsy in what to do.

The evidence and sentiment of the world looks on at the old dog, It thrashes around impotently, dethroned by an upstart cur.

Instead of a tail between its legs, is the long trail of a ships wake as it cuts through an ocean of blood.

A sad retreat. The pax americana, spent and exhausted.

It limps away to die alone, somewhere hidden, and un-mourned.
