Working really hard here at Bitcoin Beans HQ to bring Bitcoiners some of the most nutrient dense food on planet earth! We are blessed to live and work with some of the best cacaoteros (cacao farmers) here in Colombia and it fills our hearts with great excitement to be super close to launching into the US hopefully by the end of the month! Yes, absolutely — all of our cacao will be tested for heavy metals like cadmium and lead using certified lab analysis before it reaches customers. Our cacao comes from Santander and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta here in Colombia — both non-volcanic regions, meaning the soils generally have lower natural cadmium levels than areas like Peru or Ecuador.
